Dr. Edwards

Dr. Edwards enjoys spending time with his wife of 28 years, Kristi. His hobbies include wake-surfing, softball, golf, hunting, cycling, and traveling.

Dr. Edwards’ passion is advising and helping patients achieve their best possible smile! His priority is to make patients feel as comfortable as possible during each visit. He will work closely with his patients to create a comprehensive, customized plan to meet their individual dental needs.

Dr. Thalji

Dr. Thalji enjoys spending time with his family, wife Nichole of 29 years, and three beautiful children. His hobbies include Little League assistant baseball coach, fishing, hunting, and hot rods.

Dr. Thalji’s passion is advising and helping patients achieve their best possible smile! His priority is to make patients feel as comfortable as possible during each visit. He will work closely with his patients to create a comprehensive, customized plan to meet their individual dental needs.

Sandra

Sandra is the backbone of the office. She keeps the front-office team, the back-office team, and the doctors in line. Sandra started working with us in 2005. She always enjoys making a personal connection with patients, building relationships, and seeing people transform from coming to the office self-conscious and hiding their teeth to leaving with a confident smile. Sandra is an active member of the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She is passionate about fitness and has accomplished numerous marathons and triathlons. She recently completed a full Ironman in the Woodlands, which involved a 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and 26.2-mile run. And yes, that was all in one day!! She also teaches an early morning CrossFit class. If you wake up bright and early, you can sweat with her!

Amy

Amy was born in Galveston but has proudly called Bay City home for most of her life. She earned her degree from Wharton County Junior College’s School of Dental Hygiene and brings a genuine passion for caring for patients of all ages, needs, and comfort levels. Amy is also CPR-certified and committed to ensuring each visit is both safe and comfortable. Outside the office, Amy enjoys staying active, getting lost in a good book, and spending time with her high school sweetheart and their beloved fur babies.

Desiree

Desiree graduated from WCJC with an Associate in Applied Science and has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 2020. A proud native of Palacios, she met and married her high school sweetheart, and together they are raising two wonderful boys who keep her busy and inspired. Desiree’s passion for oral health shines through in her gentle approach and dedication to helping patients achieve healthier, more confident smiles. She truly enjoys building lasting relationships and strives to make every dental visit a positive experience. When she’s not caring for patients at the office, Desiree loves spending quality time with her family and supporting her sons on the ballfield. Whether she’s in the clinic or cheering at the local ballparks, Desiree brings warmth, expertise, and a friendly spirit to everything she does.

Melissa

Melissa is a highly organized and personable receptionist who brings decades of expertise in patient scheduling, insurance coordination, and front office management. Her commitment to maintaining an efficient and welcoming front office environment helps ensure that every patient’s visit begins on a positive note. Melissa’s attention to detail and friendly approach make her a vital part of the Bay City Dental team, and she takes pride in supporting both patients and staff every day.

Ramona

Ramona is also a major contributor to the front office when it comes to scheduling, confirming, and insurance, among other things. When she’s not cheering on her favorite team, the Houston Texans, of course, she loves getting to know each patient on an individual basis and helping them with their needs. She hit the ground running when she joined our team in 2012 after transitioning from a Certified Nurse's Aid. Her two children are Jordan and Mykaela. Jordan will start college next year at SMU, where he will play on the football team. Ramona loves the opportunity to make a difference in patients’ lives. She sincerely relishes the opportunity to get to know people and help them.

Stacey

Stacy plays a vital role at Bay City Dental, dividing her time between the front desk and assisting chairside as a registered dental assistant. Through both roles, she brings a sincere passion for patient care that’s felt throughout the office. She enjoys connecting with patients at every stage of their dental journey—whether she’s helping someone rediscover their confident smile or supporting their personal health goals. Her friendly conversations and calming presence help transform every visit into a comfortable and positive experience.

Lorena

Lorena was born in vibrant Mexico City and grew up in the welcoming community of Palacios, TX. As a devoted mother of four, she loves spending quality time with family and finding fun on shopping trips together. Since 2016, Lorena has built a rewarding career as a dental assistant, where she finds the greatest joy in helping patients feel confident and comfortable with their smiles. Her compassionate approach and dedication make her a valued member of our practice, always striving to brighten someone’s day, both inside and outside the office.

Karina

Karina brings warmth and expertise to every patient she meets at Bay City Dental. As a proud mom of two lively boys, she knows how to keep things positive and energetic, both at home and at work. Karina loves exploring new coffee shops, catching live concerts, and sharing quality time with her loved ones. She’s fluent in both English and Spanish and truly dedicated to making every dental visit comfortable and enjoyable. With years of experience and a cheerful attitude, Karina is always ready to help our patients leave with a smile.

Chelsea

Born and raised in Bay City, Texas, Chelsea earned her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in 2019 and has been dedicated to providing excellent patient care ever since. She loves helping patients feel relaxed and confident during their visits and takes pride in creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where everyone feels at home. Her gentle approach and friendly demeanor help make every dental experience as positive as possible. Outside the office, Chelsea is a devoted wife and proud mother to a sweet baby girl. She enjoys giving back to her community and volunteers regularly in the Little Feet Children’s Nursery at Rescue Church. In her spare time, she loves reading, crafting, and spending quality time with family and friends. Chelsea believes that balancing work, faith, and family keeps her grounded and inspired to give her best each day.
